The Hakodate Bus is a regular bus service that is localized in Hakodate city.
We are a channel to these great sightseeing areas in southern Hokkaido areas: Mt. Hakodate, Goryokaku (five-sided fort), the Trappistine, Hakodate Airport, Onuma Park, Shikabe, Nanae, Kikonai, Matsumae, Esashi, Yakumo, and Oshamanbe.
As we are a regular bus service please carry your belongs inside the bus. The bus guide will not be aboard.

In addition, there are courses for different seasons. ( "Rapid Bus Matsumae Sakura Go" operated in May)

The "Jomon Sites of Hokkaido and the Northern Tohoku Region," which was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 2021, is an important heritage site that serves to pass on to future generations the lifestyle and spiritual culture of the people who settled in this region over 10,000 years ago by fishing, hunting and gathering. Why not take a Hakodate bus to visit the Jomon Sites, which are located approximately 40 minutes from the city center?

■Hakodate Jomon Culture Center

Hakodate Jomon Culture Center Opened in 2011, the Hakodate Jomon Culture Exchange Center permanently exhibits the National Treasure "dogu" hollow clay figurine, Hokkaido's first national treasure. In addition to displaying and exhibiting approximately 1,200 artifacts excavated from various archaeological sites in Hakodate, the center also offers guidance by staff and a hands-on learning corner to help visitors learn more about the lifestyle and culture of the time.
Please visit "Roadside Station: Jomon Roman Minamikayabe," which is located next to the museum.

■Historic Site "Kakinoshima Site"

Historic Site 'Kakinoshima Site' Located on a hillside in the Minamikayabe district, the "Historic Site Kakinoshima Site" are the remains of a village and other sites dating from the early to middle to late Jomon period. In addition to the pit dwelling sites that indicate that people lived there, the site is characterized by a grave site that is separated from the living area and U-shaped embankment structure that are believed to have been a place of prayer and rituals.

The fact that there are various depths and sizes of the ruins indicates that people had been living in the area for a long period of time.
