Winery Introduction

Chitose Winery, established in 1988.
It began by brewing the haskap berries which grow wild around Chitose, In 1992 they planted Pinot Noir and Kerner grapes at the contract farmland of Kimura Orchid in Yoichi, and are creating wine that embodies the climate of Hokkaido.
You are able to sample the wine in the winery.
You can purchase wine that takes your fancy at the sales area.

Produced by the Kimura Orchid in Yoichi, this neat dry white wine was created with Kerner grapes from 25 to 35 year old vines. It features a gorgeous aroma similar to a white peach or citrus fruit, mild acidity, and a refreshing citrus-like taste.
